We’re thrilled to announce that renowned muralist LaJon and emerging local artist Tomas De Los Reyes are set to showcase his first solo exhibition at the vibrant Loiter Galleries! Join us on Saturday, October 12th, for an unforgettable day of art and community.

This date is extra special as it coincides with the Open Studio Tour and the Downtown Long Beach Artwalk! Art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore a variety of local studios and galleries, engaging with artists and witnessing the creative process firsthand.

  Downtown Long Beach Artwalk

  transforms the city into a lively celebration of creativity. Stroll through the streets filled with local artists, musicians, and performers, and enjoy pop-up exhibits, food vendors, and interactive installations.

LaJon Miller is a Southern California-based artist, has been drawing since he was just four years old. Inspired by classic cartoons like Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, and Popeye, he discovered his passion for creativity early on. By the age of ten, LaJon realized how much he loved crafting characters and scenes from his imagination. Over the years, he has self-taught himself modern mediums such as acrylic and spray paint, blending vibrant colors and textured surfaces to evoke visual reactions. LaJon continues to push the boundaries of his artistic expression. Recently, he has embraced mural work, creating stunning public art displayed throughout the Long Beach area.

Tomas Delos Reyes is a cultural maven, liquor industry professional, DJ, and former dancer known for his vibrant artistic journey. Hailing from San Francisco, he was inspired by graffiti and honed his skills studying film. In New York City, he explored the interplay between music and visual art, creating dynamic compositions influenced by specific musicians. His work blends abstract expressionism with realism, often using multiple layers to invite deeper emotional exploration.

The Lasting Impressions exhibition promises to be a highlight of the day, featuring his striking mural-inspired works that reflect his journey and passion for storytelling through art. Don’t miss your chance to meet the artist and experience his captivating pieces!
