Loiter Galleries Productions and Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) are bringing vibrant art to Downtown Long Beach this holiday season, lighting up the city with joy and energy. Stunning projection art by The Fox, The Folks and curated by Kati Angelov, transforms the Mosaic storefront into a dynamic celebration of the season and community. This immersive artwork is visible nightly, offering a unique, accessible art experience for all.

Kati Angelov
Loiter Galleries is a non-profit arts organization committed to supporting local artists and activating public spaces with thought-provoking, accessible art. Through collaborations like "Be The Light", Loiter Galleries continues to play a vital role in enriching Long Beach's cultural landscape and providing a platform for artists to showcase their work.
Kati Angelov is a multimedia artist and educator with an MFA in Animation and Digital Arts from USC, specializing in animation, motion design, and projection mapping. As curator of Be The Light, she coordinated the projection mapping activation for Loiter Galleries, uniting artists like The Fox and The Folks. Kati’s work bridges art and technology, creating immersive, community-driven experiences.

The Fox, The Folks is a dynamic multimedia art team known for their innovative work in 2D animation, video mapping, stage performances, and more. They specialize in creating visually striking and engaging content that blends storytelling with technology. Their contribution to Be the Light projection activation showcases their dedication to delivering captivating, immersive art experiences.

Why are they doing this?
Loiter Galleries Productions and Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) strive to bring joy, optimism, and energy, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere in the downtown area, especially during the holiday season.
This exciting new project will be kicked off on November 30th with a special launch event from 6-9 PM at Mosaic Downtown Long Beach (located at 375 Promenade North, between 4th and 3rd Streets).
The projection art will run every night, visible to passersby and pedestrians, through the end of 2025—a perfect way to celebrate the holiday season and the beginning of a new year with light, joy, and community spirit. This exciting initiative not only brings color to the streets of Long Beach but also infuses the area with optimism and energy that will inspire all who encounter it.
